I am a mixed media artist based in London, originally from Bulgaria.
My work explores the space between presence and transformation through figurative abstraction. The figure remains central, often interrupted or reshaped by surrounding elements that shift its stability.
I grew up in a family of artists, surrounded by exhibitions and the discipline of making from an early age. Despite this, I did not initially intend to follow the same path.
I studied ceramics and later scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Reggio Calabria, searching for something more structured and practical, though without a clear direction.
My work began to take shape after moving to London in my mid 20s.
During a difficult period, I felt a need to draw that was not planned, but necessary. I started with abstraction. Repetitive lines and forms became a way to create stillness and focus.
From there, the work developed into a balance between figuration and abstraction.
Some works emerge from a quieter, more contained place. Others carry a heavier weight. They are not separate, but part of the same language.
A quiet but constant sense of faith runs through everything I create – not as a subject, but as a presence.
I do not impose a single interpretation on the work. Each piece holds its own space, and I leave room for it to be met and understood in different ways.
My work has been exhibited in Bulgaria and is held in private collections internationally, including commissioned works in the United States.
